You may be wondering how you can reschedule passport appointment ever since the pandemic happened.
You might also be concerned whether there are operations for DFA, do they limit the number of appointments, is there any additional requirements, or can you still reschedule your appointment.
The quick answer is, it is still the same. You can still reschedule your passport appointment just like before.
My Passport Appointment rescheduling experience in DFA NCR West (SM Manila)
Recently, I had a passport appointment to renew my passport which has been expired July last year.
Based on my experience, the initial appointment I made was on March 11, 2021, and it should be at DFA NCR East (SM Megamall).
After 3 days, I was curious if there is an earlier slot available. So I checked again the DFA website for slots earlier than my original appointment. Luckily, I was able to find available slots for January.
I decided to reschedule it for January 15, 2021, at DFA Manila (SM Manila). It was 3 months earlier than my original appointment so I took the opportunity to do the passport reschedule.
The process is almost the same. Based on the DFA FAQ page,
You may change preferred date and schedule via Reschedule feature. Click on Schedule Appointment->View Appointment. Your received Appointment Code and email address is needed in order to View or Reschedule your appointment.
Please take note that applicants who wish to reschedule their appointments must send a request for a new appointment date no later that 3 days prior to original appointment date and the rescheduled date no longer than 30 days fron the original appointment. To reschedule your appointment, click here If the link does not redirect to the rescheduling page, kindly email the consular office where the appointment was made to make the request.

Moreover, only those who have paid appointments can perform passport reschedule.
These are the steps that you can follow to perform passport reschedule
1. On the DFA Passport Appointment System – Confirmation Notification email that you received of your original appointment, click the “click here” link on item 3 highlighted in red.
2. Then, after clicking the link, you will be directed to the DFA official appointment view. Enter your Appointment code, the email address you used, and the reCAPTCHA to proceed. It should look like this:
3. Finally, the option to reschedule will appear. That’s when you can select the date you want for your new appointment.
Tips to Easily Find Available Timeslots for Passport Appointment
You can use the dfacalendar.netpinoy.com to check for all available slots in one look.
Additionally, since looking for available timeslots per DFA location is time-consuming because you need to check it one by one, it will be helpful if you can get a summarized view of all available slots.

Please note that after a successful passport reschedule, you should receive your new passport appointment in your email.
Final Thoughts
On the date of my appointment, DFA NCR West (SM Manila) is following the safety precaution for COVID-19 as per IATF resolution.
Also, Social distancing is well-practiced, face shield and facemask is a must, and contact tracing is performed before entering the premises of the DFA office.
